The Fremantle Council have decided, in their infinite wisdom, to fit loud speakers to the Round House, to loudly inform passers by of the cannon’s imminent firing. The notices will burst out loudly, and be heard all the way down cliff street for 20 minutes, every 5 minutes until the cannon fires.
The reason behind this council decision, was so that passers by didn’t get scared by the loud noise of the cannon firing..
