RIDE TO SCHOOL DAY
STORY > KATIE BASTIANS
GLAD to see the back of the nasty storm, half the kids at North Perth Primary School welcomed back sunny skies by pedalling to school for National Ride to School Day.
Principle Paola Vallesi said about 165 students hopped on their bikes on Wednesday for the annual event which encouraged kids to be more active, get to know the road rules and help save the environment.
“We’d love to everyone riding or walking,” said Ms Vallessi, adding more kids had started mounting their pushies due to the school’s big push towards living more sustainable and healthy lives.
“There are many benefits of riding especially for our health, care for the environment and saving money.”
